maaaad
Crazy crazy week. My brain is still rusty from holidaying. But I’m thrown into boom, this, and that, and everything else.
I haven’t slept so little in a whole school week before I think. I hope and pray to God that the next weeks won’t be like this. It is still gonna be tough and all but really… I either have to get used to it or find a way to get around it.
So, still trying to keep my spirits up though! We’ve all gone crazy, really. We can be standing side by side one moment and the next, we start jiggling side to side as if someone somewhere has just flicked on the jukebox. Our table in class has been termed the ‘quiet table’ not because we are particularly well-behaved like that, but because we are mostly dozing off or blanking out. But come break time, or on the way for music or on the way home, the weirdest conversations ensue. Conversations that are barely understandable.
‘Cham cham cham.’
‘Chong chong chong.’
‘Choong choong choong.’
‘Lingalingaling.’
I guess when you need to use your brains too much during lessons, lectures and while doing homework, we have learnt to give our brains a break when time allows to just speak nonsense.
Hardly any more introductions are required. We are here to study, here to conquer the final exam. It is a countdown and the clock is ticking and all the teachers, in every first lecture, first tutorial, they never fail to remind us how many more months we have. Even our GP / CT who is new to our class, has barged in very self-welcomingly and we are all rather accustomed to her ramblings and musings by the end of the week. Thank God she is a decently, or very, hilarious teacher who seems to know her stuff, though she can sometimes be rather critical/contemptuous.
First tests over, first decisions made, and the first week is gone. Whether I’ll be thrown into math life-saving class is yet to be seen but even if I pass the test by some miracle, I definitely need a life-guard to pull me out of this quicksand. Meanwhile it’s time to let the inspiration flow and start composing some stuff. Maybe I should go on an expedition and get some nice scenery.
Wheeha let’s go go go!
On a side note, choir thanksgiving today made me laugh so much, with those two telling me ridiculous cold punny jokes and that one poking and hitting and scolding me and that girl who keeps asking me what’s that creature on my shirt and our lovely ex-moniter with that guy who sabo-ed me to speak. But Merlion, I still miss you here L
