I want a room with a grand piano right in the
middle of it. Preferably it would be a room only I can use, and no one can
enter unless I let them in.
I might put any other instruments I may own in
the room too. A cello would stand at a corner; a guitar might lean around
somewhere; perhaps some random percussion lurking in a box would sit at a side…
I can’t decide if I want that room to be close
to nature, with long windows that let light in and a tree right outside with
squirrels and birds, or if I want to room to be completely sealed as in a
studio type thing with black walls and fancy recording devices.
It is still a fantasy…
[I know I’m
random but I just want to say that because I don’t like to practice piano when
my brother is almost just over my shoulder, using the computer behind me in the
same living room.]
Camp is
over! Thank God I survived this last camp. Somehow, this camp is both exciting
yet dull. I felt like a zombie at parts, but I felt higher than usual at other
parts. It was extremely fascinating seeing all the different ensemble of
clothing my schoolmates emerge in during the dinners. Some are pretty, some
beautiful, some sweet, some cool, some mature, some cute, some elaborate, some
simple, some elegant, some outrageous…!
Another
highlight was the station games, which we came in third for! I didn’t think we
started out wanting so much to win, but after we got into the swing of things,
we realized we were getting quite awesome at some of the games, and our
confidence boosted, enthusiasm level went up. 34 jumps for a 12 person, one
skipping rope feat; that is really quite impressive. Now, who let the dogs out?
On the last
morning we had the finale performances. It was an eye-opener to see the many
talents that different people have had developed gradually over the years,
being exhibited there on stage. Brave attempts at choir style singing, dances
with swag I never imagined some people possessed, ‘punny’ skits executed with
good timing and wit, the ability to generate energy and vibes, we saw them all
this morning. Although all the performances took a long time, and the energy
level of the audience couldn’t hold out throughout every minute, I thought we
were quite great throughout the whole camp in general; we responded even when we
didn’t exactly want to, we yelled, we cheered.
“Rock on”?!
I say, you go, girl!
“All beautiful
girls are bimbos.”
“Well,
hello, bimbos!” (adapted quote from A_____.)
Today was
the first time I witnessed a real cat climbing a real tree in real life.
