Humans like
to give names to everything and anything.
Names can give
things an identity, character, personality. It plays a part in making first
impressions. But names don’t define what it is. As they say, a rose by any other
name smells just as sweet.
Sometimes I
feel that people give names to too many things that things become increasingly
hard to define. And I don’t know if we are all on the same wavelength anymore.
“I’m going
to mug with my friends.” Mug? Rob? Mug?
Cup? Glass? Mug? Study???
“Are you
going to pon?” Pond? Pawn? Porn?!
Anyway,
what I was trying to get at was, names can be good, necessary, helpful, but
when we try to give things too many terminology that have differing definitions
to different people, things get confusing.
Why not
just know it as what it is? Just smell the rose and who cares what you call it!
Putting
aside my random philosophical streak, these days have been getting tiring. So
many things to think about. Not just things I need to do, but things to simply
ponder over. But thank God there also many things to be grateful about. Even
the little things like my bus arriving the minute I step under the bus stop
shelter, reaching my destination seconds before it starts to pour buckets, my
brother finally getting out of the house so I can spam on the piano however I
want… Can you believe it? Call me a person with no life, if you want, but these
things are what make life a little more bearable.
Watching k-drama
‘You’re beautiful’/’He’s beautiful’ these few days. Why must these shows where
the girl has so many guys to choose from, always end up with the girl getting
the main guy, no matter how much of a jerk he is? (Although I don’t know for
sure the ending, but it’s usually like that.) It was the same in BOF! Anyway, I
hope the sweet other guy gets her though. Lol, nice guys finish last? Really?
I can do everything through Him who gives me
strength.
