red dread

“Dear resident,
If on 年初一,your room is messy, it’ll be messy thro’out the whole year. So, if you want a clean clutter free room for 2012, please do your final cleaning up B4年初一. Ok.

Even though I obviously am reluctant to clear my room, I still find it very amusing that I should find this note on my table, written by guess-who and left for me to read on Friday afternoon. And for the record, my room has not improved very much since then. I mean, I really think there are things far more important than clearing my room!
SIGH. It’s such a psychological thing, when we have 4 days of holiday, and it seems long compared to the usual 2 day weekend, and then they each start piling us with a little more work than usual, and all the ‘little more’ becomes ‘a whole load more’, and bear in mind we only have 4 days, taking into account time spent getting ordered around the house for spring cleaning and dinner preparations, time for visiting relatives and friends, we have hardly any time left to focus on work.
4 days is such a short time! I didn’t even have this much homework for the whole year end holiday!

This is so not my style. I should stop complaining and go sleep.

Happy Chinese New Year (Eve?) Everybodeh!
